The 1st Annual StarShine Cornhole Charity Classic will be held Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Hahana Beach to benefit StarShine Hospice of Cincinnati Children’s. Participants will enjoy a double elimination tournament, prizes and an appetizer buffet. This is a family friendly event and we welcome everyone to come out and cheer on the cornhole participants even if you aren’t playing. There will be fun contests and games, as well as the regular restaurant service at Hahana Beach for all spectators and participants to enjoy.
StarShine Hospice
StarShine Hospice of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital provides comfort and care, in the most positive and supportive environment possible, to meet the medical, spiritual and emotional needs of terminally ill children and their families. Full of spirit, children often show us how to get the most out of life. Even with a terminal illness, children still want to play, laugh and be with their families. Starshine Hospice is there to allow children to be at home, where they can be with family and friends.
Following the loss of a child, StarShine Hospice provides bereavement support to families in many ways. Camp Joy and an annual Memorial Celebration are just a few of the activities that StarShine brings to families continuing to heal. At StarShine Hospice, we believe that life’s most difficult journeys are best taken together.
StarShine Hospice’s community of doctors, nurses, social workers, caregivers and volunteers come together to serve each child’s medical, psychological and spiritual needs. Together, each family and our professionals work to embrace the beauty, comfort and dignity of each remaining day of the child’s life.
